‘Tis the season for pumpkins! Aside from making a jack-o-lantern or setting them out on your front porch, what do you do with them?

I’ve got loads of pumpkin activities on this learning kit. This fall activity is inexpensive, easy, creative, and kids will learn life sciences!

Supplies:

  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Red, orange & yellow paint
  • Brown construction paper
  • White paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Sandwich bags

Directions:

  • Put a handful of pumpkin in 3 different bags. Put Red Paint in one orange in one and yellow in the other. Close baggies and mix by shaking and rubbing the baggies.
  • Lay out the seeds to dry.
  • Trace the tree trunk onto brown paper and cut out.
  • Glue trunk on paper and glue the leaves on the limbs. Let dry.

Supplies:

  • Pop sickle sticks
  • Orange marker or crayon
  • Piece of construction Paper any color for background
  • Print outs
  • Yellow Construction paper
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes

Directions:

  • Print out pumpkins & poem
  • Color the pumpkins & cut out
  • Glue on the pop sickle sticks
  • Put pumpkins on fence, glue down
  • Cut out sun and poem. Glue both on

Supplies:

  • Orange tissue paper
  • Green tissue paper
  • Halloween scrapbook paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Directions:

  • Cut out Pumpkin out of orange construction paper
  • Cut out small squares out of the scrapbook paper and tissue paper.
  • Glue the squares onto the pumpkin.

Tip: Tissue paper can just be used too. May stick to their fingers more but can be used.

  • Orange construction paper
  • Orange tissue paper
  • Green tissue paper
  • scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Print out of Pumkpin

Directions:

  • Cut tissue paper into 2 inch squares
  • Trace pumpkin and cut out of orange paper
  • Put the tissue on the end of pencil and twist
  • Dab the pencil with tissue paper in the glue
  • Place the tissue paper on the pumpkin. Repeat!

Tip: Put the tissue paper close together so it looks full.
